A Little Time Off

Well, we're supposed to head to Cincinnati this afternoon for a little time away. Unfortunately the "check engine soon" light came on last night, and I will be taking the van to the dealership today to have it looked into. I'm praying that it will be a simple fix, something not very expensive. DD especially was upset that our plans were being altered, but this is how life works. Usually my ex-father-in-law lends me his spare vehicle, but he was not offering to let me take it out of town when I called yesterday to borrow it for today. I told the kids if worse comes to worse, we'll rent a car, but I hope it doesn't come to that. We're going to Kings Island for the Spirit Song festival - a 3-day Christian music festival. I already have the tickets, and we've planned on this trip for a couple months now; otherwise, we would simply go another weekend. So, if you don't see posts until Monday, you'll know we made it! Otherwise, I see a post on teaching teens to handle disappointment in my future.
